Cost: The reunion cost is $40. An additional guest(s) can attend for $40 per person. As noted on the response cards, payment can be made via check with this response card or via credit card online at Paypal. The cost covers the following: you and your guest’s meal and gratuity, drinks (assorted sodas, water, iced tea, coffee, beer, wine and assorted mixed drinks), reunion cake and desserts, entertainment (DJ ProjecktV), decorations, room/building rental, supplies, reunion souvenirs and a memory book. A few businesses have agreed to provide the class with prizes for an evening raffle.

Directions to Birch Hill from 322:

Take Burnham Exit off Route 322
Proceed to Ferguson Valley Road and turn left toward Burnham
Proceed to third traffic light and turn left onto Walnut Street (Standard Steel will be on your left)
Continue on Walnut Street for approx. 1/2 mile, until road curves to right and you come to a stop sign.
Turn left onto Beech Street.... go 2 blocks to 8th Avenue
Turn right onto 8th Avenue... go one block to Pine Street
Turn left onto Pine Street - the Birch Hill Club is located at the top of Pine Street.

Hotel Rooms Blocked

Attention Everyone -
For those guests that wish to book a hotel room for the 10 year reunion - I have booked a block of rooms at the Quality Inn - 13015 Ferguson Valley Road - Burnham, PA 17009 - 717.242.3013.

How to reserve a room:
I have set aside 25 rooms for for guests arriving April 10, 2009 and departing on April 12, 2009 and 15 rooms arriving April 11, 2009 and departing April 12, 2009. The rates will be $69.95 for 1 adult and $79.95 for 2 adults and $10 for each additional adult in rooms with 2 double beds. Children under 18 can stay free with their parents.

Each person is responsible for making his/her own reservations and guaranteeing his/her room. Reservations may be made by calling 717.248.4961, dial 0 for the Front Desk. Please ask for the "Indian Valley Class of 1999" reunion in order to book from the block. Anyone who makes a reservation and needs to cancel must do so by 4PM on their date of arrival.

There is a 30 day cut off to make reservations from the block. Any rooms not reserved under a guests name and guaranteed with a valid credit card by March 27, 2009 will be canceled at that time.

I am so thankful for everyone's help thus far in getting the word out regarding the reunion! There are still lots of people that I am trying to find to get their updated addresses - in order to mail out save the dates and formal invitations - I'm gathering a running list at the bottom of this blog - please, if you know the individuals listed - share the blog with them. Friday Night Happy Hour?

How much interest would there be for a Friday Night Happy Hour prior to the Big Event on Saturday evening?

I am potentially looking at JP Edwards.... appetizers and drinks.

I am reserving blocks of rooms for both Friday and Saturday night, as well as looking into transportation to and from the hotel for both nights.

We Have a Date (Saturday, April 11, 2009)... Hope to see you all there!

WHAT: Indian Valley HS Class of 1999 10 Year Reunion
WHEN: Saturday, April 11, 2009 (this is Easter weekend - so I'm crossing my fingers that most people will be in Mifflin County for the holiday weekend - that is a big assumption!). I will be blocking rooms at local hotels for those traveling from out of town.
WHERE: Tentatively scheduled to be held at Birch Hill
HOTELS: I am in the process of blocking rooms at local hotels for those traveling from out of town.

I realize this date is coming up quickly - but I figure this might be the easiest time of the year to see people... versus the summer when schedules fill quickly with travel, weddings, friends & family, etc.
